A new version of check_smart.pl, a monitoring plugin to monitor hard drives, solid state drives and NVMe drives, is available.
The latest release, 6.14.3, contains two fixes for performance data.
Prior to these fixes, a check_smart check on a SAS drive would show up like this (on the command line):
root@debian:~# /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_smart -d /dev/sdb -i megaraid,27 --hide-sn
OK: Drive TOSHIBA MG03SCA400 S/N : no SMART errors detected. |temperature=30;;65
Note that only temperature is showing up as performance data. The perfdata output should also contain the defect_list entry with a value 0.
With version 6.14.3 this is now fixed:
root@debian:~# /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_smart -d /dev/sdb -i megaraid,27 --hide-sn
OK: Drive TOSHIBA MG03SCA400 S/N : no SMART errors detected. |defect_list=0;;;; temperature=30;;65;0;
