I still remember the times, when it took me around 15 minutes to download a 3MB MP3 file back in the year 2k (and that was fast with a max speed of 7.6KB/s!). Imagine how long it would have taken for an iso image...
But fortunately Internet speeds have increased and costs went down. As today when I downloaded the Ubuntu 12.10 iso image with a new speed record:
That's much more fun than to wait a day.
